At half time of Saturday’s Manchester derby, it really looked as if an evening of celebration was on the cards for the blue half of the city.
At 2-0 down, things looked bleak for the red side of Manchester and their fans must have been braced for a humiliating second half at the Etihad Stadium.
From somewhere, the Reds rediscovered their pride and forced Pep Guardiola’s men to put their champagne on ice, potentially pushing back the title celebrations for another two weeks.
The comeback meant that City had to abandoned their proposed on-pitch extravaganza and with every detail that is revealed, the United fans are revelling in their role as party poopers.
Of course, it is perfectly understandable that City had celebrations planned and it would have been stranger if they didn’t, but that hasn’t stopped the red half of town piling in.
