There seems to have been a shift in the North London derby, with Tottenham Hotspur now marginal favourites to win the contest, rather than Arsenal.
The two rivals will go head to head at the Emirates on Saturday, and it is Spurs who are in better form having won five of their last six Premier League outings.
Arsene Wenger’s men have come out on top in four of their last six and currently reside four points adrift of Tottenham in the table.
Last season, Mauricio Pochettino guided his team to second, ensuring that the club finished above Arsenal for the first time in 22 years.
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs believes that Spurs have a team that could end up dominating their North London enemies for years to come.
However, the Welshman thinks that his former club are likelier to challenge Manchester City for the English crown, while Tottenham will fall short once again.
Giggs told Sky Sports:
“Spurs are the better team right now but to really have the upper hand they have to do it consistently over the new few years, although with the talented young squad they have I don’t see why that won’t be the case. I still see Manchester United as the main title rivals for City this season, with Jose Mourinho’s record being key.
“Tottenham have also been impressive and I had thought they would struggle going for the title with the Wembley and playing in the Champions League but they’ve gotten over it really well, so I’d have them third in the mix.”
