According to reports in The Sun, Chelsea have launched a £55m bid to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti this summer.
The French outfit are said to be willing to cash in on the 24-year-old after a disappointing campaign in which they were beaten to the Ligue 1 title by Monaco, while they also suffered a humiliating Champions League exit at the hands of Barcelona.
Antonio Conte wants to bring his fellow Italian to Stamford Bridge as he looks to add more options in the centre of the park, but it is understood that Verratti is unsure on the move as he doesn’t feel he would get regular playing time in the Blues midfield.
