Leeds fans have been reacting to Paul Heckingbottom’s pre-Reading press conference this morning, and it doesn’t seem like there’s much hope of a positive result.
Heckingbottom took over at Elland Road with the team in a dire state, and he hasn’t really improved it much. Leeds fans are losing patience with the 40 year-old, and his pre-Reading comments haven’t done much to life spirits either.
Leeds travel to Reading on Saturday with 14 points between the sides, but neither team have had much to brag about recently. Both sides have just one league win in 2018, and a win for either would be a huge boost.
Manager Paul Heckingbottom spoke to the press on Thursday about his team’s visit to the Madjeski, admitting that the recent performances simply haven’t been good enough.
The form of the midfield has attracted a lot of criticism from fans, but equally the defending from set pieces has been absolutely woeful in recent months.
The manager admitted they are struggling with set pieces, and says they simply don’t have the players to switch to his preferred man marking system.
Leeds are likely to be without both Liam Cooper and Kemar Roofe for the trip to Reading, who Heckingbottom thinks deserve to be higher in the table than they are.
Fans have been reacting to the managers comments on Twitter, and let’s just say they aren’t particularly confident about Saturday’s clash…
