Leeds enjoyed a rollercoaster game against Birmingham and the same can be said of Kiko Casilla’s time at Elland Road.
He has been in good form for most of the campaign and seemed to put the errors of last season behind him, but fans are now concerned that he has returned to his previous ways of making rash decisions.
The Whites finally won at St. Andrews with a late goal to make it 5-4 but it could have been an easier ride had the Spaniard stopped at least one of the Blues’ four shots on target, all of which found the net.

In particular, some fans pointed out his terrible goalkeeping for Birmingham’s third goal, as he rushed out in an attempt to clear a set-piece, only for Jeremie Bela to beat him to the ball to have the simple task of heading into an empty net.
It is exactly that error of judgement which cost the team in last year’s playoff semi-final against Derby, but as long as he rights that weakness in his game he should start proving that he is dependable once more.
His shot-stopping has been very useful to Leeds this season and therefore it is frustrating that he lets himself down in other areas. A similar lapse in thinking led to him rushing out against Preston on Boxing Day, and the opposition should have scored after his failed slide tackle fell kindly for Brad Potts.
